Ian's 10 ! Happy Birthday !!!

My little boy - well, not THAT little already but always my baby to me ;) - is 10!!! Wow. I feel err, forever young of course hehehe. Even though he THINKS like he is 20 ..... he is finally a one-candle birthday celebrant haha. He tried telling me that the cake shop made a mistake by giving only 1 candle lol. Had a small steamboat party at home & our friends over. Oh, and my American friends will LOVE this ... we had a durian-flavored cake! Happy Birthday,my dear boy ... Remember,every birthday marks a new beginning and an improved change in behaviour! Thanks everyone for your angpows,presents and Chef Ratalena for your help! What the Guidebooks Don't Tell You!

2008 Convention ... Destination Shanghai! Nice city but very cosmopolitan. Nothing much Chinesey until we got out of the city hustle & bustle to Suzhou and Hangzhou. But I had fun ! Especially after the Convention and we (El and me) met up with Jude. Finally, we got to see the real Shanghai (you know - the backstreets, the roadside hawkers, the peddlers and the hang-underwear-outside-to-dry Shanghainese!) Suzhou and Hangzhou in separate posts simply because they are beautiful and lots of photos! More representative of China,I might say.

But shopping in Shanghai esp Yu Yuan Gardens (yeah,touristy lah but what to do) was fun :) You can also check out this post on the Convention.
